Justice Court: Greenport man sentenced in drug conviction

Robert Nugent, 39, of Greenport pleaded guilty in Southold Justice Court Friday to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and violating parole. Judge Rudolph Bruer sentenced him to 30 days in the Suffolk County Correctional Facility on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. Mr. Nugent was fined $205.

• William Boyles, 60, of Southold pleaded guilty to a charge of boating while intoxicated. Judge Bruer fined him $350, the maximum fine under state law for a first-time offense.

• Erick Rafael Catalan, 26, of Greenport pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, reduced from an original charge of driving while intoxicated. Judge Bruer suspended Mr. Catalan’s license for 90 days and fined him $560.
