Three hospitalized after East Marion accident

Three drivers were hospitalized after an accident on Route 25 in East Marion Sunday afternoon.

Lauren Alevas, 22, of Patchogue lost control of her car while driving eastbound on Route 25 just before 12:30 p.m., crossing over into the westbound lane and striking two other vehicles, according to police reports.

Ms. Alevas was taken by helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center for back injuries. Two other drivers, Edward Hennessy, 53, of East Quogue and Barbara Domiani, whose home town was not disclosed on police reports, were taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital by the Greenport Fire Department. Both drivers were treated and released.
