Drugs, weapons bust at Southold home
A lengthy narcotics investigation last week led to the arrest of a Southold man at his Horton’s Lane home, where town police say they found a loaded Colt .45 revolver, a “bludgeon” and illegal prescription drugs. Forged New York State Department of Motor Vehicles documents were also found, police said.
Eliseos Verveniotis was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Southold Town Police, Suffolk Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force all participated in executing a search warrant at the house at about 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Mr. Verveniotis was arraigned on Dec. 14 and released after posting $25,000 bail.
