Southold Town Justice Court report

Paul Mittleman, 47, of Greenport pleaded guilty in Southold Justice Court Friday to charges of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. Judge Rudolph Bruer sentenced him to two concurrent four-month stays at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility on the first two charges and 15 days, also to run concurrently, on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
Mr. Mittleman was ordered to enroll in a substance abuse rehabilitation program and his driving privileges were revoked for one year. He was also fined $1,400 on the aggravated DWI charge and $305 on the charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The judge indicated that he would grant a conditional discharge on aggravated DWI upon completion of Mr. Mittleman’s jail sentence.

• Ryszard Jakubowicz, 57, of Southold pleaded guilty to aggravated DWI and was placed on probation for three years and his license was revoked for one year. He was ordered to install an interlock device on his vehicle and fined $1,400.

• Liat Sema Zvi, 23, of Greenport pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while ability impaired, reduced from an original charge of operating a motor vehicle on drugs, and was ordered to enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program, fined $560 and his license was suspended for 90 days.

• George Demetriades, 39, of Mattituck pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal contempt and was sentenced to time served in jail and a $125 Suffolk County surcharge.

• The charge of hindering prosecution against Karla Escobar, 19, of Brentwood was dismissed because a Suffolk County grand jury indicted her, so the case will go to the county’s Criminal Court.

• Judge Bruer issued bench warrants for two people who failed to appear in Justice Court Friday. Jacqueline Powell, 42, of Riverhead was accused of operating a motor vehicle while impaired on drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. Tiffany Wilcox, 21, of East Marion was accused of third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of fourth degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and trespassing.

• Elizabeth Saraceno, 50, of Southold was granted an adjournment for one year in contemplation of a dismissal of a charge of second-degree criminal contempt.

• Victor Mendoza-Galicia, 34, of Greenport was granted an adjournment for six months in contemplation of a dismissal of the charge of exposure of person.

• Daniel Ilibassi, 21, of Wantagh was granted an adjournment for six months in contemplation of dismissal of a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

• Anthony DeFelice, 30, of Coram was fined $225 after pleading guilty to possession of marijuana.
