Mitchell Park ice rink is open

The Mitchell Park ice rink is open weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. But beginning this weekend and continuing through the holiday week, the rink will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

The price during the holiday week is $10 for adults and $6 for those under 18 and for seniors. Skates may be rented for $2.

There are also special events at the rink during the winter that range from ice skating lessons to youth and adult hockey games. After the holiday, the price to skate drops to $5 for adults and $3 for those under 18 and seniors. Friday nights between 6 and 9:30 p.m. are reserved for teens.
