Michele J. Love

Michele J. Love of Greenport died Dec. 28 at her home. She was 73.

She was born May 12, 1937, to Oscar and Agnes (McInnerny) Malm in Brooklyn, where she was raised and graduated from high school.

In 1956, she married Bertram Love in Brooklyn. Ms. Love worked for 12 years as a nurse’s aide at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. According to her family, she enjoyed reading, cooking, raising dogs and spending time with her family.

Predeceased by her husband in 1985 and two siblings, Ms. Love is survived by her children, Christopher, of Mount Sinai, Timothy, of Maryland, Matthew, of Rocky Point, Patrick, of Greenport, and Jennifer, of Riverhead; and five grandchildren.

The family received visitors Jan. 2 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport, with services by Father Thomas Murray of St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Cremation was private.
