Achievements: Southold Town’s grads making the dean’s list

• Nikki Benedetto, a 2010 graduate of Mattituck High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall term at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she is a freshman majoring in graphic arts design.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Matthew Wilsberg

• Cadet 1/c Jacqueline Haase has earned a place on the 2010 fall semester dean’s list at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. A 2007 graduate of Southold High School, she is the daughter of Nicola Hanrahan and Robert Haase.

• Air Force Airman 1st Class Matthew Wilsberg has completed basic military training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. A 2004 graduate of Mattituck High School, he is the son of Donna Wilsberg of Mattituck. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven (Conn.) in 2009.

• Janna Cisterino of Greenport, Peter Olsen-Harbich of Mattituck and Rachel Taplin of Southold have all been named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at SUNY/Geneseo.

• Ryan Hygom of Mattituck has made the dean’s list for fall 2010 at Keene State College in New Hampshire.

• Kaitlin Graeb of Cutchogue has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at SUNY/Plattsburgh.

• Donald Fahey of Cutchogue has earned a place on the fall 2010 dean’s list at Providence College in Rhode Island.

• Charles Buckel of Cutchogue, a freshman creative writing major, and William Mehr of Southold, a junior majoring in technology education, have been named to the dean’s list at SUNY/Oswego for fall 2010.

• Kelly Kraebel was named to the President’s List for the fall 2010 semester at James Madison University in Virginia, where she is majoring in chemistry. Kelly is a 209 Mattituck High School graduate.

• John Dunne, Southold High School Class of 2010, has made the dean’s list for fall 2010 at SUNY Maritime College, where his major is marine transportation. He is active in the NROTC unit and is a goalkeeper for the soccer team.

• Karl Cutler of Mattituck has been named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute, where he is a senior history major.

• Nettie Liburt-Wiener of Smithtown has earned a Ph.D. in animal science, with a concentration in equine exercise physiology and nutrition, from Rutgers University. The daughter of Frances and Burke Liburt of Orient, she graduated from Mattituck High School in 1993 and also holds a bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington University and a master’s degree from Rutgers.
