Greenporters pick up DECA awards
In its maiden voyage to regional DECA competition at Suffolk County Community College in Selden earlier this month, Greenport students demonstrated winning ways. Seven of the 16 Greenport students who competed returned with awards.
Winners are Megan Demarest and Nina Papamichael, radio broadcast advertising; Georgia Seas, public service broadcast advertising, television; Lauren Smith, public service visual advertising, billboard; Schuler Gillispie, visual advertising, newspaper; Chanice Taylor, job interview; and Mairi Creedon, wholesale sales presentation.
Advisors to the newly formed DECA group are Martha Tuthill, Chris Golden, Mike Davies and Yvonne Lieblein.
