Thomas G. Hug

Thomas G. Hug of Mattituck died Jan. 31 at his home. He was 61.

Born Oct. 15, 1949, in Bay Shore, N.Y., to Edward and Cecila (Baumbach) Hug, he served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, attaining the rank of E-4. He worked as a senior project manager at EnviroTrac Ltd. in Yaphank.

Mr. Hug is survived by his wife, Louise (née Paprocki); his sons, Thomas “T.J.,” of Manhattan, Edward, of Calverton, and Adam, of Cutchogue; his brother, Edward, of Maryland; and his sisters, Patricia Coiro of Patchogue and Terry Castry of North Carolina.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead, where a memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Cremation will be private. Memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.
