Elsie M. Zurawski, a native and lifelong resident of New Suffolk, died Feb. 12 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 90.
Born in New Suffolk on Aug. 30, 1920, to Frank and Victoria Blossic, she attended the one-room New Suffolk school and later married John Zurawski of New Suffolk. She was a homemaker and a waitress for many years, including at Mitchell’s and the Jamesport Manor Inn.
Ms. Zurawski is survived by her former husband; a son, John, of Albany, N.Y.; a daughter, Kathleen Stadnicki of Shoreham; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are set for Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Coster Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Funeral services will take place Thursday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, with interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
