Repeat offender charged with DWI in Southold

One motorist was arrested on a felony DWI charge in Southold this weekend.

Alberto Calixto, 28, of Central Islip was driving westbound on Route 25 in Southold Village just before midnight on Saturday when his car was pulled over by Southold Town Police for failure to maintain his lane of travel, according to police reports. Mr. Calixto failed several roadside sobriety tests and was taken to headquarters and held for arraignment, according to police.

Police said that Mr. Calixto’s 1993 Toyota was impounded due to a prior DWI conviction.
