Constance Deveris Kondak

Constance Deveris Kondak, known as Connie, died March 5 at her home in Gilbert, Ariz. She was 82.

She was born Constance Morris in 1928 in Flushing, Queens, the youngest of seven children. According to family, she was an avid ice skater and loved to sing and perform for friends.

She married Edward Stephen Kondak, a TWA pilot and “the love of her life,” according to family. They had two children and the family traveled together all over the world, from Germany to Japan and Africa.

She spent many of her later years in Greenport. Family members said she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, had a great sense of humor and was known for her cooking.

Predeceased by her husband in 2000, Ms. Kondak is survived by her children, Edward Jr., of Greenport, and Nancy Kolowitz; her sisters, Louella Davis, Pauline Quottini and Hilda Morris; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service and Mass will be held in July at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport.
