Mattituck basketball players and faculty take on amputee team

The Amp 1 amputee basketball team squared off against the Mattituck High School team and faculty members at the school Friday night.

The Amp 1 team, made up of all amputee players, lost to Mattituck with a final score of 85-81.

Mattituck senior Jovan Booker, who plays on the school’s varsity team, is a member of Amp 1, which travels the nation playing able-bodied athletes.

The game was sponsored by the Mattituck-Cutchogue Teacher’s Association.
