Stuart J. DuBon

Longtime Cutchogue resident Stuart J. DuBon died March 27 at San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenport. He was 88.

He was born May 28, 1922, in Brooklyn to George and Marion (Kelly) DuBon. He was a lieutenant and pilot in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946, and on May 30, 1947, he married Eleanor Skelly in Valley Stream. In 1950, he received a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from St. John’s University in Oakdale.

He worked as a sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company for 32 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus in Cutchogue and was a Little League manager.

According to family members, he enjoyed playing golf, bowling and boating.

Predeceased by his sister, Patricia Tyler, he is survived by his wife; his daughters, Judith Sanatore, Kathleen and Jeanne; his sons, Stephen and James; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Arrangements are in the care of Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue, where visiting hours will be held March 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. A funeral service will take place Thursday, March 31, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
