Brookhaven National Lab discusses opportunities for small businesses

A Brookhaven National Laboratory addressed the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce at its monthly Eggs & Issues meeting Thursday to give an overview of the Lab’s services and resources available to business owners.

Walter Copan, managing director for Technology, Commercialization & Partnership at BNL, said there are a variety of opportunities offered, such as grants and sponsored research, available to entrepreneurs that need assistance.

Mr. Copan’s presentation, called “BNL: Long Island’s Innovation Engine — Open for Businesses,” featured the benefits of partnering with the Lab, which offers help from problem-solving to high-tech equipment access.
