Imagine walking downstairs in your home and being enveloped by the sweet aroma of sautéed onions, as fond memories of Easter Sunday pierogies come to mind. Such is the tradition for the Baydala family. This year, five of the six Baydala siblings worked with their dad, Troy, and sister-in-law Jeanette to make this special holiday dish. May you be blessed with years of family traditions and fun!

Call it mother’s intuition. Sixteen years ago, Susan Tyler knew better when the obstetrician told her to go to the hospital. Minutes later, her water broke and, with one hand on her baby’s head, she caught him as he swooshed out. Belated happy birthday to Justin Tyler. You’ll always have the story of your “special delivery.”

Cutchogue East’s production of “Mulan Jr.” was “fabulous,” according to at least one audience member. Colleen Kelly was impressive as Mulan; Michael Goodale as Captain Shang and Liam McShane as Mushu the Dragon were very funny; and Kayla Honkala, as the Dressmaker, executed her solo beautifully. Bravo to all cast members on a job well done!

Jackie Lonk appreciates having a Zumba class at Curves that really lets her go at her own pace and still feel motivated. She also wants to congratulate her sister-in-law Kyleen Vernon on a job well done and wish her the best!
