John Errico

John Errico of Southold died April 17 at the age of 89.

He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Astoria, Queens, to Elizabeth (Scavaglioni) and Daniel Errico. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the warship USS Marblehead.

Formerly of Orient Point, he had lived in Southold for the past 20 years.

Mr. Errico is survived by his daughters, Norma Nunemaker of Southold and Diana Tagley of Washington, Conn.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, with parish prayer services in the afternoon. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, at St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale. Donations may be made to East End Hospice.
