Tydfil K. Schelin Baker

Tydfil K. Schelin Baker, 81, died April 23, 2011, in Fort Pierce, Fla.

Mrs. Baker, known as “Ty,” was born in Peconic, N.Y., and moved to Fort Pierce in 1971 from Mattituck, N.Y.

She was a member of Indian River Presbyterian Church, the choir and the XYZs. Other memberships included the Eastern Star, American Business Woman’s Association and Code Enforcement.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Baker of Texas; sons, Lenny Schelin and Ernie Schelin, both of Fort Pierce; daughter, Gail Sheets of Fort Pierce; sisters, Ann Starn of Virginia and Lilian Nine of Fort Pierce; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eric “Lenny” Schelin.

A memorial service was held Monday, May 2, at Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce, with arrangements under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com.
