Southold-Peconic: A yard sale and plant sale at St. Patrick’s and Southold Presbyterian Women’s barn sale

Our village is ready for Memorial Day weekend: Thanks to the NJROTC cadets and the Southold Village Merchants, 120 American flags are flying proudly. This display is a community effort and your support is appreciated. Donations can be sent to The American Flag Fund, Southold Village Merchants, P.O. Box 1356, Southold, NY 11971.

Browse the large selection of treasures at the annual St. Patrick Church yard sale this Saturday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to noon. Proceeds from table rentals will benefit the youth group.

At St. Patrick, you’ll also find the Southold Town Garden Club’s annual plant sale. Do some one-stop shopping and purchase your spring plants along with other goodies.

Continue treasure-hunting on Saturday at the Southold Presbyterian Women’s barn sale, also from 8 a.m. to noon, at the historic barn on Wells Avenue. All proceeds will be contributed to East End charities.

The shopping continues Sunday, May 29, when there will be an outdoor flea market on the grounds of the Southold American Legion, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendor fees will directly benefit the restoration of the hall. Donations to this fund can also be placed in collection boxes on the vendor tables.

Let’s all take some time to remember those who gave so much for our freedom. See you at Monday’s parade in Mattituck.
