Southold police make pair of drug and alcohol arrests

Two men were arrested in Southold this weekend on drug and alcohol related charges.

Jeffrey C. Bubb, 58, of Greenport was charged with aggravated DWI after police observed him driving a 2010 Cadillac sedan erratically on Route 48 near Moores Lane in Greenport  just after 8 p.m. Saturday, according to police reports. Mr. Bubb was taken to police headquarters and held overnight for arraignment.

Moises Garcia, 31, of Shelter Island was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police said they saw him “acting in a suspicious manner near a closed business” on Eugenes Road in Cutchogue just before 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to police reports.

Police said that Mr. Garcia was found to be in possession of the prescription drug Suboxone, which is used to treat opiate addiction, without a prescription. He was taken to police headquarters and held overnight for arraignment.
