Michael Paul Chagnon

Southold resident Michael Paul Chagnon died suddenly on June 13 at the age of 30.

Born June 28, 1980, in Port Jefferson to Jeffrey and Kathryn (Haughey) Chagnon, he worked as an HVAC technician for Hux Plumbing and Heating in East Northport.

He is survived by his parents, of Southold; his brother, Jeffrey, of Reading, England, and his sister, Michelle, of Southold; and his grandmother, Zoe O’Brien of Pineville, N.C.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Graveside services and interment will take place Saturday, June 18, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick R.C. Cemetery in Southold, with Father Peter Garry officiating.
