Comtesse Thérèse Bistro is the first Long Island winery and restaurant situated in a single location. Owned by Comtesse Thérèse, which has 20 acres of vineyard planted on Union Avenue in Aquebogue, the restaurant features dishes by Chef Arie Pavlou and wines from its own vineyard.

The bistro building was once an 1830s church rectory, now renovated and furnished with antiques. It features a roof deck and is surrounded by manicured lawns, herb gardens and a miniature vineyard.

Chef Arie received his culinary training at L’Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris. Diners can enjoy fresh duck, fish, vegetables and herbs — all raised, caught or grown locally and prepared in a simple, classic style. Appetizers include French onion soup made with local duck stock, red wine and caramelized onions, topped with melted gruyère; entrées feature Crescent Farms duck breast, house-smoked with local cherry and hickory wood, or shell steak, dry aged in house for 60 days; and for dessert, one of many delectable choices is pear poached in Comtesse Thérèse wine with the chef’s secret herbs and spices, chocolate sauce and a scoop of ice cream.
