Southold Police rescue men stranded on rock in L.I. Sound
Three Islip men were rescued by Southold Town Police Sunday evening after their raft deflated and they were stranded on a rock in the Long Island Sound, police said.
The three men — Angelo Cabrera (age 48) and Byron and Danny Cabrera (both age 30) — said they were fishing when the raft began to deflate. They were returned to Mattituck inlet shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday and returned to their car, Southold Police said.
