Achievements: Local students earn honors aplenty

• Tara Voelkel of Cutchogue has been named to the spring 2011 dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
• John Bressler of Cutchogue has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College in Washington State.
• Isabel Cropsey of New Suffolk has been named to the spring term honor roll at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., where she is a member of the Class of 2013.
• Lisa DeVito of Mattituck has graduated with a master’s degree in speech–language pathology from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston.
• Megan Padden of Greenport has earned a place on the spring 2011 dean’s list at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I., where she is a senior.
• Emily Rowland-Kain and Gillian Rowland-Kain of Mattituck were named, respectively, to the spring 2011 dean’s honors and high honors lists at Connecticut College in New London, where both graduated with the Class of 2011.
• Emily Bredemeyer of Orient was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Syracuse University. She attends the College of Visual and Performing Arts there, and is a music industry major.
• Michael Bredemeyer of Orient has graduated from Suffolk County Community College with an associate degree in criminal justice.
•Timothy Winters, a 2010 graduate of Southold High School, has been appointed to the admiral’s list for spring 2011 at SUNY Maritime College.
• Three local students have graduated with bachelor’s degrees from SUNY/New Paltz: Tessie Annibell of Cutchogue received a degree in philosophy; Erin Brush of Cutchogue earned a degree in communication studies; and Patricia Walden of Greenport was awarded a degree in childhood education 1-6.
• Emily Scoggin of Cutchogue and Byron Brinkmann of Mattituck were named to the spring dean’s list at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where they are members of the Class of 2011 majoring, respectively, in communication and business administration.
• Hannah Robinson of Southold has been named to the dean’s list for spring 2011 at Canisius College, where she is a junior adolescence education major.
• Katherine Moore of Southold has been named to the dean’s list at Savannah College of Art and Design for the spring quarter 2011. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion marketing and management.
