Southold cops make a pair of weekend DWI arrests

• John V. Neuberger, 41, of Brightwaters, NY, was charged with DWI after police saw him in a severely intoxicated state on Front Street in Greenport just before 11 p.m. Sunday and advised him not to drive, according to police reports. Police said that Mr. Neuberger decided to drive just moments after he was warned by police and failed several field sobriety tests after his car was stopped. He was taken to headquarters and held for a morning arraignment.

• Jennifer Bolier, 33, of Port Jeferson was charged with DWI at 9:45 p.m. on July 26, after her car hit a utility pole on Route 25 in Mattituck. Ms. Bolier was taken to headquarters and held for a morning arraignment.

• Twenty-one-year-old Antonio Jimenez Gomez was charged with unlicensed operation in the early hours of July 24, after his car hit a utility pole in Mattituck when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Police said that Mr. Gomez was traveling on Route 25 just after 5 a.m. at the time of the accident near the intersection of Route 25 and New Suffolk Avenue. The Mattituck Fire Department responded to the scene but Mr. Gomez and his passenger declined medical treatment.
