Football: Babylon trounces Porters, 54-0, in opener

The Greenport/Southold/Mattituck/Shelter Island Porters suffered a 54-0 loss to the host Babylon Panthers in a season-opening Suffolk County Division IV football game on Friday night.

Seven Babylon players scored touchdowns and the Porters never advanced to within the Babylon 30-yard line.

Babylon went 8-3 last season, reaching the county final for the 14th time in 15 years.
