Cutchogue-New Suffolk: Last call for lobster dinner hosted by Historical Council Sept. 17

Friends and family of Jennifer and Chad Menard have organized a benefit at Founders Landing in Southold to help them defray medical expenses for their daughter, Olivia Mae, who was born with peroxisomal biogenesis disease or Zelleweger syndrome. It takes place this Friday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30, with no charge for kids 10 and under. Tryouts for the junior high play are Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 20 and 21. Sept. 20 is high school Back to School Night at 7 p.m., and on Sept. 21, Parent Night begins at 6:30 p.m. for kindergarten and at 7:30 p.m. for first and second grades.

Last call for the lobster dinner hosted by Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council this Saturday, Sept. 17, 5-8 p.m. on the Village Green. Dinner includes a full lobster, shrimp appetizers, beer and wine. The cost is $50 per person. No tickets sold at the door.

North Fork Reform Synagogue invites you to an afternoon of “Bibliodrama” this Sunday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. Everyone, from every faith, is welcome to experience this playful, improvisational way of learning biblical text and commentary, led by Peter Pitzele, international facilitator of therapeutic theater and psychodrama. Cutchogue New Suffolk Library announces the collaborative art exhibit “BOATS,” celebrating the 18th annual Whitebread Race, which will be on display through October. The display includes memorabilia from past races and paintings by over a dozen well-known local artists, which are for sale, with a portion of proceeds going to The Friends of the Library.
