Cutchogue man accused of pushing and kicking cops

A 21-year-old man who police said pushed and kicked officers attempting to take him into custody on a trespassing charge Monday night now faces an additional count of resisting arrest, Southold police reported.

Police said Andrew LePre refused to leave a residence on Alvahs Lane in Cutchogue. When told he was under arrest for second-degree criminal trespass and ordered to place his hands behind his back Mr. LePre became physically aggressive, pushing and kicking the officers and violently fighting attempts to handcuff him, police said. He was arrested shortly after 11 p.m.

He was held for arraignment
