Cutchogue man charged with DWI on Alvahs Lane

A 59-year-old Cutchogue man was arrested for DWI and driving while impaired by drugs outside his home just after midnight Thursday, according to police reports.

Southold Town Police said Brian C. Evans was seen failing to stop at a stop sign at the corner of Alvahs Lane and Route 25 in Cutchogue, after which he reportedly attempted to make a U-turn on a lawn next to the intersection.

Police said Mr. Evans did not initially stop when a police officer attempted to pull him over, and did not stop until he was at his own home on Alvahs Lane.
