Slide Show: Car show raises money for Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council

The Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council hosted its first car show Saturday in Cutchogue, an event which drew more than 300 people and featured about 65 cars built prior to World War II.

The car show was a fundraiser to build a garage for a 1926 Model T pick-up truck donated to the historical council last year as a gift for its 50th anniversary,

Zach Studenroth, the council’s director, described the event as special because he believed it was the first time in local history that a car show featuring these specific antique automobiles.

“As we were holding fundraisers for the garage, we met a lot of people who collected antique cars,” Mr. Studenroth said. “After we realized that there are a lot of antique car enthusiasts, we decided to put together a special car show with only pre-World War II cars.”
