Greenport nursing home exec VP to leave post in 2012

San Simeon by the Sound head Priscilla De Masi has decided to leave her post early next year, according to a company press release.

Ms. DeMasi, who is the Greenport nursing home’s long-term administrator and executive vice president, has decided to move out of state for family reasons.

Marie Beninati, president of the San Simeon Board of Directors, said Ms. DeMasi played a vital role over the years with the facility’s enhancements, including overseeing an $8 million renovation.

“We are saddened to see Ms. De Masi move on, but we respect her decision,” Ms. Beninati said. “Ms. DeMasi will continue in her role as administrator in the interim to ensure a seamless transition.”

Officials said a search committee has been created to find Ms. De Masi’s replacement.
