Mary Quinn of Southold died Oct. 22 at her home. She was 92.
She was born May 22, 1919, in Port Glasgow, Scotland, to Elizabeth (Robinson) and Laurence Fitzpatrick. She earned a registered nurse degree, a Master of Arts degree and a Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University. She married Joseph Quinn in Queens County on Dec. 28, 1946.
Ms. Quinn was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold and a member of its Rosary Society and the Marian Council of Columbiettes. Family members said she enjoyed poetry and literature.
Predeceased by her husband in August 2011, she is survived by her children, Kevin, of New Hyde Park, Maripat, of East Setauket, Laurence, of Garden City, and Joseph, of Forest Hills; and four grandchildren.
Visiting hours will take place Thursday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A service will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at noon at St. Patrick R.C. Church, followed by interment at the church cemetery.
