Mattituck-Laurel: Ducks Unlimited, Peconic Bay Chapter, hosts annual banquet/auction Oct. 28

It’s National Bully Prevention Month and Mattituck High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions Club promoted Unity Day Wednesday to combat bullying. Students and teachers were encouraged to wear orange and club members distributed orange ribbons to commemorate the day. Bullying has been spotlighted this week on TV shows such as “Anderson Cooper 360,” with an emphasis on cyber-bullying and texting as well as actions parents and schools should be taking. Have a conversation with your kids about bullying today.
