The Mattituck girls volleyball team comes into today’s match against Shoreham-Wading River riding a four-game win streak. Over that stretch, the Tuckers have dropped just two games.

The Tuckers, who endured a brutal beginning of the season against some tough competition, picked up their most impressive win of the season Oct. 6 when they knocked off Bayport-Blue Point, 3-1, at home.

The Phantoms dropped to 4-2, one spot ahead of Mattituck in the League VII standings. The Tuckers, at the midway point of the league season, are 3-3.

Mattituck faced Shoreham (3-3 in league) in the first league game of the season and fell 3-1. It’ll be the second time this season Mattituck coach Frank Massa coaches against his daughter Maddie, a senior for Shoreham.

Tuesday’s game begins at 4 p.m.
