Anna Walters

Anna Walters of Peconic died November 1, 2011. She was 75 years old.

She was born in Greenport on February 20, 1936, to Jenny and Antone Maciejkowicz.

After graduating from Southold High School, she married Louis Walters Sr. on April 16, 1955.

A lifelong resident and a devoted homemaker, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.

Predeceased by her husband, Louis Walters, in 2005, she leaves her sons, Louis Walters Jr. (Jean) of Southold and Mark Walters of Peconic; a sister, Stella Sakowicz of Peconic; two grandchildren, David Kramkowski of St. Charles, Mo., and Kristin Kramkowski of Cutchogue; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Kramkowski. She was also predeceased by three siblings, Helen Kruza, Frances Arcello and John Marchie.

The family received friends at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home November 3. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated November 4 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church by Father Thomas P. Murray. Interment followed at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery with prayers offered by Father Marian Bicz.
