Robert T. Johnson

Robert T. Johnson of Cutchogue died Oct. 30 at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He was 61.

He was born Sept. 22, 1950, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Robert and Anna (Wyche) Johnson.

He was a truck driver for many years. According to family members, he spent his free time outdoors fishing, golfing and hunting, and also enjoyed motorcycles, fast cars and cooking.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his life companion, Diana DeJesus; his sons, Robert DeJesus of Cutchogue and Don Carlos Johnson of Manhattan; his siblings, Antoinette, of North Carolina, Cecelia Mayo and Arnez Smith, both of Riverhead, Margie Smith of Connecticut, Alfreda Williams of Mississippi, William Harris of Central Islip, Jim Smith of New Jersey, Bobby Fields of Virginia and King Fields of South Carolina. He was predeceased by his parents.

Homegoing services were held Nov. 4 at Unity Baptist Church in Mattituck, Pastor Marvin Dozier officiating. Interment was at Cutchogue Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes.
