Margaret M. Connors

Margaret M. Connors, a former resident of Cutchogue, died at Peconic Landing in Greenport on November 10, 2011. She was 90 years old.

She was born in New York City on December 27, 1920, to Rufus and Rebecca (née Buckingham) McGahen.

A graduate of St. Lawrence University, she later obtained a degree in Library Science from Columbia University. For many years she was a librarian for the Riverhead School District.

The former longtime Wading River resident was a member of the Minnepaug Club and enjoyed playing duplicate bridge.

Predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Connors, she is survived by her sister, Rebecca McGahen of Greenport; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Adele C. and James H. Rich Jr. of Southold; and two nephews, James H. Rich III and Thomas Rich.

Interment was at the Riverhead Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes.
