Raymond G. McKillop

Raymond G. McKillop, a former resident of Patchogue, died on Nov. 17, 2011, in Winchester, Va. He was 90 years old.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y,, on December 26, 1921, to Daniel and Anna (née Drennan) McKillop. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he was a retired principal with the East Islip School District.

Predeceased by two wives, Joyce McKillop and Agnes Astarita McKillop, he is survived by his children, Kathleen Peters of Virginia, James McKillop of Miller Place and Jeanne Finger of Cutchogue; grandchildren, Michael Peters, Ashley Finger and Ryan Finger; and siblings Richard and Kevin McMillop, Marge Modica and Maureen Maynard. He was predeceased by siblings Edward, Francis, Daniel, Jack, Alan, Eugene McKillop and Claire Macchio Connelly.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m.  at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Mattituck, by Msgr. Joseph W. Staudt with the assistance of the Ministry of Consolation. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
