Woman hospitalized after being struck by car in Mattituck
A woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car while apparently walking in the Mattituck CVS store parking lot Wednesday late afternoon, authorities said.
The woman, who was hit by a gray Chrysler sedan, was placed on a stretcher and put in a neck brace about 5:30 p.m. She was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead by Mattituck Fire Department Rescue Squad for treatment of her injuries, which were not immediately known, Southold Town Police said.
No further details were immediately available.
