Margaret E. Thompson

Margaret E. Thompson died Dec. 13 at her home in Southold. She was 92.

Known as “Whip,” she was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Greenport to Emmons and Elizabeth (Ullerich) Dean.

She had resided in Southold for 71 years and had been a clerk for the Town of Southold for 25 years.

Predeceased by her husband, Clement, Ms. Thompson is survived by three children, Patricia Dzenkowski of Southold, C.J., of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and Elizabeth Sawicki of Stormville, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers.

The family received friends Dec. 16 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where prayer services were conducted Dec. 17 by Father George Michell. Interment was at St. Patrick R.C. Cemetery in Southold.
