Edith White

Lifelong Greenport resident Edith White died Dec. 9 at her home. She was 93.

She was born in Greenport Nov. 28, 1918, to John and Rosalie (Walsak) Kruk and attended Greenport School.

Family members said she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and playing bingo.

Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, in 1999, Ms. White is survived by her son, Kenneth Jr.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Edward Kruk.

Visiting hours took place Dec. 11 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue, Father Tom Murray officiating.
