A 49-year-old fugitive was arrested on Fishers Island Saturday for warrants related to theft of a gun and failure to pay child support, Southold Police said.

Kevin Carroll was wanted in Baltimore County, Md., where warrants for his arrest were issued last month.

He was located on Fishers Island, where his family has owned a home for more than 20 years, according to Southold Detective Edward Grathwohl.

He was arrested without incident and will be turned over to the Suffolk County Police Fugitive Squad later today for extradition to his home state, police said.

Southold Bay Constables assisted Det. Grathwohl and Det. Joseph Conway in the arrest, which occurred about 9:30 a.m.
