Cops: Mattituck woman arrested following DWI crash

A 53-year-old Mattituck woman was arrested Wednesday after causing a crash while driving drunk on County Road 48, Southold Town Police said.

Georgene Monsell is expected to be held overnight on a charge of aggravated DWI, police said.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. near the Cox Neck Road intersection in Mattituck.

No injuries were reported in the crash, police said.
