Ethel Liedlich Berliner

Ethel Liedlich Berliner, 89, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 16, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Ethel was born in Mattituck to Robert and Ida Liedlich on December 23, 1922.

Predeceased in 2007 by her husband, William, she is survived by her children, Donald and Sandra, Ruthanne and Thomas Woodhull, Katherine and Anthony Rutkowski, William Jr. and Jeanne. She was adored by her grandchildren, Shelley, Sherry, Donald, Danielle, Lin, Jennifer, Richard, Beth, Anthony, Steven, Autumn, Benjamin, Zebadiah, Jadon and Seraphina. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family received friends on Monday, February 20, at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Mattituck Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, February 21, the Rev. George E. Gaffga officiating. Interment followed at New Bethany Cemetery in Mattituck.
