Ronald Pace

Former Cutchogue resident Ronald Pace, known as Ron, died Jan. 28 in California. He was 66.

He was born in Cutchogue March 5, 1945, to the Rev. Bertis and Lillian Pace, the eighth of 12 children. He graduated from Mattituck High School and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Mattituck. After enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California and remained in California for the rest of his life.

He loved to laugh, was a special friend to many and adored his family, relatives said.

Mr. Pace is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Keith Sr., Miesha Stingley and Rhasheda Henry; his brothers, Alvin, Roy, Gary and Terry; his sisters Beatrice DeJesus, Joan Davis and Lorraine Mason; and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers George and Bertis Jr. and his sisters Judy Martin and Jean.

Funeral services and interment took place Feb. 7 at Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries in Long Beach, Calif., Pastor M. Shawn Walden officiating.
