Anthony W. Troyan

Former Mattituck resident Anthony W. Troyan died March 7 in Florida, where he had resided for 25 years. He was 96.

He was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Rocky Point to Stanley and Camilla Troyan. A graduate of Mattituck High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.

Mr. Troyan worked at Plum Island as a heavy-equipment operator.

Predeceased by his first wife, Stella, in 1956 and his second wife, Marie, he is survived by his son, Thomas, of Riverhead, and his companion of 25 years, Marie Eney.

Services and interment took place March 12 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue, Deacon Jeff Sykes officiating.

Arrangements were handled by McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
