Cops: Mattituck man with expired registration caught driving drunk

A Mattituck man was arrested for driving while intoxicated early Tuesday morning after police stopped him for failing to maintain his lane of travel and driving with an expired registration, Southold Town Police said.

Craig Jones, 40, was stopped on Route 48 near Boisseau Avenue, where police said they found him to be intoxicated. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m.

He was taken to headquarters, where he was held overnight for a Tuesday morning arraignment.
