Cops: Phone tip leads to DWI arrest in Cutchogue

A Laurel man was charged with DWI Sunday night after Southold Town Police received a tip that he was failing to maintain his lane of travel on Route 48 in Cutchogue Sunday night, police said.

Karl Novak, 55, was arrested after failing several field sobriety tests, police said. The incident occurred around 7 p.m.

He was taken to headquarters, processed and held overnight for a Monday morning arraignment.
