1. North Fork residents want to know from Congressman Tim Bishop why federal funding that would have paid for the dredging of Mattituck Inlet was cut, but dredging in Montauk was funded.

2. Southold Town recently received three requests to open farmers markets, and since there’s no mention of farmers markets in the town code, board members are scratching their heads and wondering whether they should encourage them.
