Cops: Two women sent to hospital following Southold crash

Two women were sent to the Eastern Long Island Hospital Friday afternoon following a two-car cash on Main Road in Southold, Town Police said.

Carolann Morris, 58, of Shirley, was driving her blue Subaru east on Route 25 when she turned north to enter the parking lot of Bonnie Jean’s restaurant and was struck from behind by a black Volvo station wagon driven by Joanne Gualtieri, 63, of Orient, police said.

The accident occurred about 2:30 p.m.

Police said both women suffered minor injuries.
